Where Creativity Meets Community

The White Center CDA’s first community market hosted at the White Center HUB came and went like so fast!

This was the first time a pop-up style event had taken place on our lot and we were excited that it was met with great support from our local community. We were able to engage between 100-150 community members!

We saw neighbors enjoy drinks from our cafe space and even brough their kids to make bracelets at our crafts table. Along with 17 vendors-- a handful of whom are White Center based, we also had DJ Uma spinning tracks and Cascade Middle School’s Mariachi Diamante showcase a beautiful performance!

This market serves as the first step to having many more events in the HUB plaza and continuing our goal to create belonging and connectedness in our community. Economic Development Manager Thearina emphasizes “As we continue to learn from the initial experience, our hope is for Community Market’s to become a recurring community event filled with creativity, wellness, and camaraderie!”
