About Our Work
Place Development stewards WCCDA’s physical assets to ensure they are built, operated, and activated in service of community. The team oversees real estate and facilities management, construction and capital projects, condo and housing coordination, and HUB space and event operations—supporting the long-term sustainability, safety, and impact of our places.

The HUB Project
We begin by acknowledging that we are on the ancestral land stewarded since time immemorial by the Salish peoples of the Duwamish, Cedar, Green, White and Upper Puyallup Rivers. We honor and give thanks that we are able to collectively engage in this conversation in your sacred homelands.
This project was started because of the White Center Neighborhood Advisory Council.
The White Center Community HUB will create a place of “Hope, Unity, and Belonging,” where working families can find affordable housing along with essential services that nurture their stability and create greater opportunity. For a project scope, you can check out either our recorded open house.
We are collaborating with RISE Together for this project. For more background about our collaboration with RISE Together, you can find more here.

Taproot White Center
Taproot White Center is a community planning committee that aims to engage neighbors and collect data on housing experiences and housing disparities in unincorporated areas like White Center. This branch of work follows our goal in creating solutions to housing affordability in White Center.
