1st Annual PASEFIKA Men’s & Women’s Festival Volleyball Tournament
Friday, August 13th, 2010
9:00 AM TO 6:00 PM

White Center Heights Elementary School
10015 6th Avenue SW Seattle, WA 98146

The 7th Annual PASEFIKA Island Festival is scheduled to attract a record crowd of more than 2000 attendees this year. The annual cultural festival is hosted by White Center Assembly’s PASEFIKA, a faith and community based organization and is co-sponsored by other community partners.

This festive celebration provides FREE ADMISSION to the general public. The event will feature special performances and entertainment by our local Pacific Island artists and cultural groups, information and community resources booths, Island style-games (coconut husking, weaving, etc), Keiki’s corner (children’s activities), VIP guest speakers and more. Throughout the day, there will be drawings for gifts donated by festival sponsors, vendors and community partners. In addition, an array of on-site vendors will display and sell handmade goods and crafts, island clothing and jewelry, and a buffet of island dishes to enjoy.

This family-oriented cultural event is a wonderful opportunity for Washington residents to experience the culture and diversity of the Pacific Islands that is available to them right here in the Pacific Northwest.

In addition, WCA/PASEFIKA is proud to present our 1st Annual Men’s & Women’s Volleyball Tournament on Friday, August 13th, from 9am- 6pm, at White Center Heights Elementary School. Details are included in attached packet. Please see deadlines for registration and contact Tournament Coordinator, Pastor Aleki Koke at (206)724-8199.

Please contact our Event Coordinator, Edna Noga, at 206.280.6098, or e-mail edna.noga@gmail.com. If you have vendor specific questions, please contact our Vendor Coordinator Sunshine Tinae at 206.434.7853 or sunshine.tinae@yahoo.com. If you have questions regarding entertainment, please contact our Entertainment Coordinator Nicci Faimalo at 253.307.7529, or nicnabe@yahoo.com.

Please share this information with your respective families, friends, church members, co-workers, acquaintances, and communities.

Best Regards,
Edna Noga
