This is an exciting time of the year at the CDA because we are announcing our new format, calling for volunteers and projects form the community. This year Spring Clean will span April through August with a huge celebration on September 6th, 2013. We have 5 months throughout the year to ensure the cleanliness and beautification our community. If you have a project that you want to lead or suggest please fill out the Project Proposal Form and email it to Marquise@wccda.org or drop it off at the CDA located at 1615 SW Cambridge St, Seattle, WA 98106. Projects can be done on multiple days if it is a need of the community to be done throughout the months.  If you are interested in volunteering for a particular day please follow the link Volunteer Link to sign-up. You can sign up for as many days as you want.

As projects come in we will be updating our blog, Facebook and Twitter. If you have any question or concerns about Spring Clean this year please feel free to contact Marquise at Marquise@wccda.org or call 206.694.1082. Look forward to making our community healthy, clean and beautiful over the next couple of months.

This is the first time that we are doing a run and walk in White Center and we want to see all of your lovely faces there supporting health and wellness in our community. This is an event that is being organized by former EverGreen High School students with support from the CDA and YES Foundation. There will be prizes for people who place in the event as well.  To register please follow the link: WC5K Registration

This November, voters will decide vital issues that affect our children, our schools and our state. Will your vote count?

Check Your Voter Registration!Sign Our Pledge to Vote

The deadline for voter registration is right around the corner. If you have moved or changed your name in the last year, please re-register to vote with your updated information.

The last day to register to vote online is this Monday, October 8.

Click here to register to vote or check your voter registration today.

If you are registering by mail, it must be postmarked by Saturday. You can pick up a voter registration card at most DMV’s and public libraries, or at your county elections office.

You can also register to vote in person at your county elections office.

Are you in college or do you have kids in college? Check this FAQ on college student voting and remember to update your voter registration every time your address changes.

If you know that your voter registration is up-to-date, take it a step further and sign our pledge to vote for education champions. Elections are often decided by just a few votes  - by signing the pledge, you’re promising that your voice will be heard and your vote will matter.

Sign our pledge to vote for better schools now.

Thank you,
Anne Martens
