Olympia for Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day

    The State Capital - OLYMPIA

    7:00 am - 3:00 pm
First of all, thanks to everyone who will stand up for housing and join us in Olympia for Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day. Tuesday, 2.24 is going to be a busy and exciting day, a chance to be a citizen lobbyist, an opportunity to meet hundreds of other people who care about protecting access to affordable housing and ending homelessness. I can't wait to see you all there. If you need a ride or are willing provide a ride, please visit this rideshare online for information about car pools to Olympia. If you haven't registered yet, there is still plenty of time. Come to hear from Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown (D-Spokane), get the latest legislative news from our lobbyists, march to the Capitol with hundreds of your new friends, and meet with your legislator. We want as many people as possible in Olympia to stand up and tell our legislators and the Governor that the Housing Trust Fund and GA-U must be restored to full funding. You and I know how important, how vital, these and other programs are. We know that the Trust Fund provides the opportunity to live in safe, decent, and affordable housing and GA-U is essential to ensuring that the most vulnerable Washingtonians stay off of the streets. Make sure that our elected leaders know too. It's time for us to do our part to ensure that working families don't have to choose between paying for essential needs and housing. It's time for us to stand up and make our voice heard! If you want to learn more about the Housing Alliance agenda before Housing and Homelessness Advocacy Day you can visit our Action Center to: • Participate in our webinars • Read our latest legislative updates • Catch up on the webinars that you weren't able to attend • Get more information on vital bills supported by the Alliance Don't forget, register here to attend Advocacy Day, tell your friends about the Alliance, download our legislative agenda, and use our bill tracker to keep updated on what is happening in Olympia. Also, discover how to be a citizen advocate on Wednesday, February 11th and follow up on Wednesday, February 18th for a deeper understanding of GA-U and the Housing Trust Fund. Download the flyer here and RSVP. See you there! Let me know if you have any questions. -Michael Michael Kelly Mobilization Coordinator 206-442-9455 x 203
